What is the purpose of this page?
- From the General subtab, you can enter details about the client’s and co-client’s tax carryover details.
- From the RRSP Contributions subtab, you can enter details regarding each client’s RRSP accounts for the previous year. This information is used to calculate the clients’ income tax in all projections.
Note: Funds withdrawn from RRSP accounts to participate in the Home Buyers’ Plan must be repaid beginning the second year following the year the funds were withdrawn. For example, if RRSP funds were withdrawn in 2008, clients must begin to repay those funds in 2010.
- From the TFSA Contributions subtab, you can enter details about the client’s and co-client’s TFSA details.
- From the RESP Contributions subtab, you can enter details about the client’s, co-client’s, or family member’s RESP accounts as of the previous year. This information is used to calculate income tax.
- From the Capital Loss Carryovers subtab, you can enter capital loss carryovers that existed before the plan was created.
