Financial Needs Analysis Report

• This customizable report, suitable for presentation to clients, provides a comprehensive review of the entire plan. It combines text and graphs to provide a detailed examination of the clients’ current financial position and their ability to meet their goals.
• If the clients have a plan with the Base plan status, the Financial Needs Analysis report considers the current information in the base plan and the proposed scenario (system-generated recommendations) in the open plan. If there is no base plan, the Financial Needs Analysis report considers both the current and proposed scenarios in the open plan.

Note: If the Planning Assistant™ has detected a problem in the plan, a Financial Needs Analysis report cannot be generated.

1. To choose the sections to be included in the report, click Select Document Sections.
2. Select the sections to be included in the report. To include all sections, click Select All. To include only the required sections, click Select None, and then select the sections you want.
4. Click Generate Report to generate the report.
5. To save the generated report, use the File – Save As command in the PDF or Word window.
6. To print a generated report, use the File – Print command in the PDF or Word window.

1. Select a template from the list.
2. Click the Generate (or Regenerate) button.

1. Click Select Document Sections.
2. Select the sections to be included in the report, clear the check boxes for sections to be excluded, and then click Save as Template.
3. Enter the name of the template, then click OK to return to the Select Document Sections dialog box.
4. Click OK. You can now select the template from the list.

• The contents of the Financial Needs Analysis legacy report depend on the contents of the clients’ plan and the selections in the template in the Select Document Sections dialog box. Any or all of the following may appear.

Scenario Probability Assumptions 

• Assumptions used to generate scenario probability results on the Scenarios page.

Introduction

• Brief description of financial planning and the advantages of having a financial plan.

<detailed plan analysis>

• More detailed analyses of the sections selected in the Select Document Sections dialog box.

Action Plan

• Plan’s asset accumulation and debt modification strategies for the plan year and the following two years. It is available for both the current plan and the recommended plan.

Conclusion

• Summary of recommendations for the clients’ future financial plan.

Appendix

• Summaries of information entered into the client file and the plan.

Delivery Acknowledgment 

• Form for the clients to sign to acknowledge receipt and understanding of the Financial Needs Analysis report.
