Financial Needs Summary Report

• The Financial Needs Summary report is a customized report that combines text and graphs to provide an overview of the clients’ current financial position with special emphasis on their retirement goal. Typically, this report is used when the recommended plan has been finalized as the final presentation to the clients.
• If the clients have a plan with Base Plan status, the Financial Needs Summary considers the current information in the base plan and the proposed scenario (system-generated recommendations) in the open plan. If there is no base plan, the Financial Needs Summary considers both the current and proposed scenarios in the open plan.
  Note: Only a Level 2 Plan can be marked as a base plan.
  

Note: Legacy reports are highly customizable. The Select Document Sections dialog box lists all the document sections that are available. Selecting a check box for a section ensures that NaviPlan includes that section in the report. In addition, some sections are expandable and you can decide which subsections to include or exclude. Some sections, such as the Disclaimer, are always included.

1. To choose the sections to be included in the report, click Select Document Sections.
2. Select the sections to be included in the report. To include all sections, click Select All. To include only the required sections, click Select None, and then select the sections you want.
4. Click Generate Report to generate the report.
5. To save the generated report, use the File – Save As command in the PDF or Word window.
6. To print a generated report, use the File – Print command in the PDF or Word window.

2. Click the Generate (or Regenerate) button.

2. Select the sections to be included in the report, clear the check boxes for sections to be excluded, and then click Save as Template.
3. Enter the name of the template, then click OK to return to the Select Document Sections dialog box.
4. Click OK. You can now select the template from the list.

• You can define the scope of this report by selecting the document sections that are to appear in the report. However, whether a section appears depends on whether it was selected on the Modules page and on information and data added to other parts of the plan. The Education section, for example, appears only if the Education check box was selected on the Modules page and if education information was added elsewhere in the plan.
• In the report, assets, incomes, and expenses that were generated by the system and not manually entered are identified by an asterisk (*).
